Best shape and color for eyeglass frames

When choosing an eyeglass frame you should choose a frame by size, shape and color.
Also, while most faces are a combination of shapes and angles, there are six basic face shapes.

Square face shape, be sure to avoid glasses with hard lines that might make your face look boxy.
Heart-shaped faces, those with a chin much thinner than their forehead, need to find shapes that balance the width of their face.
Oval faces are the luckiest, as they can pull off almost any style. You may want to balance the curve of your face, so choose square, rectangle glasses to balance your face.
Oblong, or long face shapes, will see much more length than width. Choose frames that are larger, to break up the length of your face.
Round faces will want to choose frames that add angles, are structured and slim. Lenses that are wider than they are deep, as well as those with dark frames help define a round face.

Once you have determined if you are “warm” or “cool,” then you can find the eyeglass frame colors that will suit you the best. Eye wear color should complement personal coloring. Some examples of frame colors best for warm coloring are: camel, khaki, gold, copper, peach, orange, coral, off-white, fire-engine red, warm blue and blond tortoise.
For cool coloring, the best eyeglass frame hues are black, silver, rose-brown, blue-gray, plum, magenta, pink, jade, blue and amber (darker) tortoise.
You may be tempted to choose a frame color that “goes with everything.” But consider instead a color that truly flatters you.

To Dye or Not To Dye?

As I sat in the back row of a seminar recently I noticed how many of the women attending dyed their hair. This was apparent by the visible dark roots and streaky highlights and made me think of the current trend of having dark roots showing.
We are all born with our own color palette of skin tone, eye and hair color and as we age our hair coloring changes. Some women go gray early in life and have striking silver hair, others opt to dye their hair to hide the gray. The color you choose to dye your hair is just as important as the color of the clothing you wear. Winter and Summer women should never add warm highlights and Spring and Autumn women should never add cool colors. To achieve the most natural look it’s best to stick to your seasonal palette and go only two shades darker or lighter than your own natural hair color. If you want to add some contrast color for fun, keep it within your seasonal palette ie: cool burgundy highlights with jet black hair. When you wear the right color makeup and clothing with your natural hair color you will look healthy, vibrant and enhance your natural beauty!

Color matters!

Color analysis is the process of determining your natural color tone so that all clothing, makeup, hair, and jewelry colors placed near your face will be in harmony with this tone.  When the colors all harmonize, you will look radiant, healthy and vibrant!

A personal color analysis can save you thousands of dollars and enable wise wardrobe investments. Once you have a personal color analysis you will know exactly which colors will look great on you!
Men benefit from knowing which colors they look best in.  Wearing a white shirt everyday is not only boring, it may make you look tired and ill. The right colors will make you look healthy, alert and sharp.

Purchasing jewelry is an investment – it should look great against your skin.  For people who have skin tones that are clearly warm or clearly cool, getting your jewelry tones right can make a significant difference.  Those with warm-toned skin should wear yellow gold, ivory pearls & copper colors, while cool-toned people should wear silver, white gold, platinum, white or pink pearls, etc.  Those with neutral skin tones are lucky enough to look great in everything!
Since jewelry lies against your skin and often near your face, it can make you look radiant if it is in the right tones and drain you of color if in the wrong tones.
The same is true for eyeglasses, whether prescription or sunglasses.  When someone looks at you, you want him or her to see you looking your best, not your glasses.
A personal color analysis will tell you exactly which tones to wear and which ones to stay away from.  How many times have you tried on several pairs of glasses trying to guess what looks good?  It is essential to get the colors right because they are on your face.  For example, warm-toned people will look great in tortoise-shell or yellow gold, cool-toned individuals will look better in black or silver.  A personal color analysis consultation will make this so much easier for you!
